DT Series diesel engine water brake dynamometer

The DT Series diesel engine dyno is designed to be quickly and easily fitted to an engine mounted on a fixed base or mobile engine stand. When combined with a Go Power instrumentation package, it allows precise and repeatable testing results with minimal set up time.

The DT1000 diesel engine dyno is designed for use with light to medium duty diesel engines at speeds up to 3500 rpm continuous and 4000 rpm intermittently. The power absorption profile is uniquely suited for testing piston-type aircraft engines such as Lycoming and Teledyne Continental.

The larger DT-range (DT2000/DT3000) is used with industrial diesel engines at speeds up to 5000 rpm. We manufacture many dynamometer stands to suit practically any test setup. When a chassis dynamometer is not practical or available, the DT-series dynamometers can be fitted with our IFA-D2000 in-frame adapter (see photo). This device can be mounted within the driveline of heavy-duty trucks for in-vehicle engine testing.

The DT1000 diesel engine dynamometer is designed for endurance and/or power testing of light to medium duty diesel engines and other high torque applications. It is designed to be quickly and easily fitted to an engine mounted on a fixed base or mobile engine stand.

The DT1000 dyno is compatible with our complete line of digital consoles and state of the art control systems. This unique modular design provides maximum flexibility to expand to your system as your testing requirements grow.

As with all the Go Power dynos, the DT1000 dyno can be purchased as an individual unit, or as part of a complete test package:

The EDP1000 is perfect for the diesel engine tester that does not require a data acquisition system but is looking to simply get readings on RPM, Speed and Torque. If an actual data acquisition system is desired, the ADP package would be appropriate. 

The ADP1000 Advanced Dynamometer Package includes all of the components listed in the EDP package, except the GPS6000 Data Acquisition System is supplied in place of the DC200 Display Console.

CAUTION

The dynamometer may be operated continuously within the duty curve; however, hydraulic machines are regularly used for short-term performance testing at considerably higher power values (torque levels remain with the maximum published level). This results in rapid heating of the water within the machine which may result in localized vaporization and potential loss of control. Go Power Systems accepts no responsibility for any resulting loss due to operation outside the published performance characteristics of the individual dynamometer.
